I have just been off a little bit the last two weeks!
Newest things in Leesha's life:
She has a new tooth coming in!! hee hee I feel like she is back to five months old when she got her first tooth. Her first adult tooth is coming in. A little worried that by the looks of it we should probably add braces to the budget. UGH!! I had to have them but Brian didn't so we will see.
The second thing is that she thinks she is HOT STUFF because she is learning to sew. My Mom got her a sew kit for Christmas and we just pulled it out the other day to use it. Leesha had a ball doing it. I had to sit right there and hold it for her but she really enjoyed it. We still have the teddy bear to make which she is bugging me to do right now. Well, actually she stopped and when I turned around just now she was up on her craft table climbing the bookcase!! ARGH!!!! She has NO FEAR!!! Oh and by the way, excuse the spaghetti on her face and clothes. She had just finished wearing her dinner. Oops, I mean, eating her dinner.
Latest update on Brian:
Brian is doing well. He is slowly getting over his cold. He is back to his regularly scheduled programming for now. His next call duty is over the 4th of July holiday. BUMMMMMMMMMMEEEEERRRRRR!! Yep, I am upset about that one! UGH! Anyway, he is having a lot of fun doing a lot of the techie stuff for our new church. He really enjoys computers and dealing with them. He really should go back to school and get his computer degree. um.....speaking of the techie.........he just plugged some strange cord into my computer and now I have all these windows popping up. Man, sometimes it is a pain. LOL!! See why I blog late at night after everyone is in bed. I cannot be left alone for 5 minutes without an interruption. Keep him in your prayers with our church responsibilities we are about to be very busy!
Update on Me:
Well, let's see. Last week I just took a break and really concentrated on getting myself on schedule again and figuring out how I want my week to go. I have also been doing lots of homeschooling research since we have decided to homeschool Leesha. I have to figure out what curriculum and programs I will be using in the fall. I am also going to be working on getting us on a specific schedule. This way we will have specific times and days that we do things and I can get that TV turned off and keep Leesha busy. Ooops, lost a contact......be right back. Okay, man that hurts.
I have to say that I have been very excited for the Olympics. I remember being very little and watching the Olympics. Now we didn't have a TV in our home at all until I was grown and gone. But my Dad and Mom would rent a TV just so we could watch the Olympics. I just remember it being a special time. I still love watching the Olympics maybe it is because I am just so not athletic, never have been, and never will be. I also love the personal stories behind the athletes except this year I am disappointed in those stories. NBC just isn't doing the in-depth stories behind the athletes. I am a sap so I like to hear how hard and long that journey was for the athletes. It just makes those medals and finishes that much more sweet!
I am also being kept busy with church doings. I really enjoy doing the secretarial things. We are getting ready to start having services in the fellowship hall at the Seventh Day Adventist church near us. We are all very excited about this and where the Lord is leading us. We are beginning our major push to introduce our church to the area and other churches and garnishing up support. It has been a lot of work but we have already been blessed.
Well, I need to go. Brian needs my computer to start burning 200 CD's introducing our church to other churches who might support our work. So I am off to give Leesha a bath and cross stitch for a little while and watch the Olympics!!
UT-ho.....loud cat screeching....Brian just squished him with a chair.
