An update on us!

We are doing good. Work, family, schooling, all that stuff is going good.

A couple of Leesha anecdotes to share:

Yesterday evening, we were going through our normal bedtime routine and Leesha was supposed to be brushing her teeth. Well, she came out to me and asked quite seriously if we had locked the doors to the house last night when we went to bed. Not knowing at all where this was headed, I said, "Yes, Leesha. Daddy locks the doors every single night." Well, she conspiratorily whispered to me. "Mama, I can't find my toothbrush and I think someone stole it." I looked at her choking on my laughter and incredously asked her why she thought someone would steal her toothbrush. She said with the utmost seriousness: "Mama, I have the absolute bestest toothbrush in the whole wide world. Who wouldn't want my toothbrush?" *snicker* I then went on to find her toothbrush in her backpack since she had just returned from her Memaw and Papa's house. She was incredibly relieved that nobody stole her favoritest toothbrush! All I have to say is PARANOID MUCH????


Tonight we almost had another ER run. This child is going to give me a heart attack. I thought girls were supposed to be calm, gentle, quiet, Oh who am I kidding? Not my little girl! Anyway, she was playing around and I was getting a movie ready for her so I could do some scrapbooking. I have projects due tonight. Anyway, she was jumping around and being her crazy herself. Well, she flung herself onto the couch but she misjudged the height she jumped and smacked the side of her hide so hard on the wall behind the couch. BLOOD CURTLING screams ensued and I just kind of stood there in shock watching it happen in slow motion. WAY TO GO MOM!! Anyway, we were quite worried that she had given herself a concussion. We called the Dr to make sure that we could give her Tylenol and ask what signs we needed to watch for and she seems to be doing just fine. The Tylenol has kicked in and she is laughing so we will just watch her.

So anyway, that is our excitement for today. I need to get back to work!
