Yes, I know it is Tuesday! We have had an extended weekend around here.
Saturday was spent helping some dear friends of our's load up their truck. Then we went to another friend's house for dinner and some fellowship. We all had lots of fun just talking and laughing. Then the goodbye's came. Let me just say this, it was only by the grace of God that I didn't start the ugly cry! I was incredibly sad to see them go but also so happy for them because I know this is where God wants them to be. I pray continually for them to be able to heal and that this new church will spoil them awesomely.
Sunday morning we attended church. Brian spoke and he did a wonderful job. He was so nervous but he over came that. I am so proud of him. Then we all went out to dinner and ran into some people that we haven't seen in a while. Let's just say, we were all very polite and we pray that God will work in their lives and bring them to Him. After we finally got our meal, Leesha took about two bites and then told me that her throat was hurting so bad. About 20 minutes after that we left the restaurant and headed home. Sunday evening was spent taking care of a very clingy and in pain little girl. She slept maybe about 2 hours that night. Needless to say, we were off to the Dr. on Monday morning.
Sure enough, Leesha has strep. GREAT! She just got healthy! Thank the Lord we caught it quick enough and she will be healthy for Christmas. We also caught it in the beginning stages so it shouldn't linger on. So Monday was spent running to the drugstore and then back home and setting up the sicky with movies and naps.
Today the sicky has been quite rambuctious! She is feeling so much better all ready. She thinks she doesn't have to take the rest of her medicines since she is feeling so much better. Uh... nope, doesn't work that way.
She helped me do laundry, clean the fridge and cleaned up the living room today. She had quite the busy day. The first picture above is Leesha helping me clean the fridge. She really is a great helper!
