I just have to say this. I am so proud of this country and for the wonderful military personnel who have fought long and hard for this day in Iraq! Yes, many lives were lost and that is sad. World War II had many more casualties. We are so fortunate and blessed to live in America. I had to say that I had tears in my eyes watching the Iraqians vote today. It was like I was watching the work of every American soldier come to fruition. Yes, my brother is one of them and Yes, he served a year in Iraq. So this is probably more personal to me than others. WHAT A PROUD DAY for AMERICANS!!!
Anyway, today was spent doing the usual housework and cooking. I completed one layout today and altered a clipboard today also. One of my very best friends is moving to Texas on Saturday. Yes, I am sad but yet thrilled for her. I pray that she heals from the many emotional wounds that come from being a pastor's wife of a church that is not serving the Lord. I have to say that honestly this church was the worst church I have ever seen and been a member of. That is saying a whole lot because I am a pastor's daughter and have seen a lot of churches. So anyway, the clipboard is her going away/Christmas Gift. I hope she likes it and will use it every day. I still have to write her a letter yet.
Tomorrow I have two reviews due so I will need to work on those and I am taking my friend out to lunch tomorrow also. Brian has a three day weekend which is wonderful. Leesha won't know what to do with Daddy being home all this time. So this weekend, I need to do my Christmas shopping, baking, and some of our family traditions. I am running behind on all of those things.
Off to get some odds and ends finished before going to bed.
