Brian's News!!!

I don't know if everyone knows this or not since Brian doesn't talk about himself very often. He is a writer. He has finally had a poem published. He is working on a Sci-Fi novel also but hasn't finished that yet. One of his dreams is to get a book published. Anyway, I am really proud of him for getting a poem published. Yes, I was quite skeptical until we actually received the book in hand. He is published in a book of poems called "Timeless Voices" and his poem is the first poem in the book!

The Poem Follows:

Measure of a Man

What is the measure of a man?

Is it only about how tall he can stand?

Is it about his intellegence or wealth?

Or about physical fitness or health?

Is it about rubies, emeralds, or gold?

Is it about fine jewelry or rings?

Is it about all of these things?

Nay, my friend, I tell you it is not

For any physical treasure you sought,

For, health, wealth, or great fame,

For any power, it is all the same,

Cut from the same fabrice without

Leaving even the greatest men in doubt.

For, I tell you what you really should measure

Is something greater than any treasure?

Just look past the outside, and, then,

See into the soul within,

For that measure really can

Tell you all about that man.
