Whew, So sorry this has been neglected!!!

It has been extremely busy around here lately. So many things going on and I am just now surfacing to realize how much has been neglected. I have been working hard on lesson plans for Kindergarten. We start homeschooling on the 5th of September. Yikes!! I finally have most of my lesson plans for the first month done. Leesha also had her first meeting of Brownies yesterday! Yes, she is a Girl Scout now! She LOVES it. This is a great troop because it is lead by a Christian, homeschooling mom and they allow and talk about God and even pray! Yes, it is a rare troop and I am so glad that we have found it! And no, not one penny of the troops funds goes to support Planned Parenthood. I have researched and researched it!

Leesha is also excited because our homeschool coop starts on Monday. Leesha will be taking the Ocean Life class and the Space Exploration class. She is really looking forward to that and can barely contain her excitement.

She is also very excited to start reading. I am actually wondering if we won't finish kindergarten in a half of a year and then start 1st grade. She is just grasping everything so fast and it seems like that once we start formal school she just won't be able to get enough. We will see, that is one of the advantages of homeschooling. If she wants to move ahead, we can and it isn't a big deal at all.

Anyway, life has thrown us some curve balls lately but we are hanging in there. One great thing is that we should be completely out of debt in about a year and a half if everything goes according to our plan. LOL! Yeah, we all know how that goes. But we do have contingency plans in place. It is hard, hard work but we are at the point where we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Now we just need my car to hold out for one more year!!

Well, that is the update for around here. Brian is still working hard. He has been training lately and that is great because they really need help there. He has been working from 5:30 am to about 7:30 or 8:00 pm. Hopefully those hours will slow down once they get some guys trained. He told me yesterday that his boss said he went out and checked his former trainee yesterday and he didn't find any errors and that he was doing a great job. This guy has only been out on his own since Monday so Brian took that as a major complement to his training abilities. He started training another guy on Tuesday and thinks he will do a great job as well. He said he enjoys training the ones who have families because that usually means they are serious about the job and will learn. The guy he is training now has a baby on the way in about 2 weeks so he wants to learn as fast as possible and get out on his own. Brian understands just starting a new job and having a new baby. He has been there so they have really developed a friendship in the last few days! Anyway, they don't start making decent money until they are out on their own. In training, the trainees just get training pay which is decent but not like they will make out on their own.

Anyway, I have some housework I need to get down and just remembered I haven't started the crock pot for dinner. Oops, good thing dinner isn't usually until 6 or 6:30 pm.

Have a great day everyone!
