I just get busy and forget to update!! I will leave you with this thought today!! Cherish the little things. Today we went to the in-laws to help mow the grass. Dad Thacker is having some major medical issues going on right now. We will know more after a MRI on Monday but please keep him in your prayers. Anyway, Brian had the fun ride on the Dixie Chopper. I got the push mower! I come home with a headache and my allergies going absolutely nuts. I wasn't great anyway when I went. Leesha and I have had colds all week. So I wasn't feeling all that great about cutting grass today and then I read this online!
His tiny “plot” of grass in front of his tent. Here is a soldier stationed in Iraq. You know, the HOT, DRY DESERT! He asked his wife to send him dirt (U.S. soil), fertilizer, and some grass seed so that he can have the sweet aroma and feel the grass grow beneath his feet. When the men of the squadron have a mission that they are going on, they take turns walking through the grass and the American soil - to bring them good luck. If you notice, he is even cutting the grass with a pair of a scissors. Sometimes we are in such a hurry that we don’t stop and think about the little things that we take for granted.
Yep, I won't be complaining about push mowing grass any longer. I bet this soldier and many others would love to be push mowing grass right about now!!
I will update again tomorrow!

I liked the story about the soldier. I imagine they do get lonesome for American soil and grass when surrounded by sand and life threatening enemies.
Mom
