ACK! Blog Neglect!

Wow! Sorry about that! I have been sick myself and in fact, crashed once I got home from parent's house. Doing much better now!

Anyway, this weekend was just another reminder of how fragile life is for all of us. One of our dear friends woke up and couldn't move his left side. It was a scary 24 hours for a while. The tests have come back that he didn't have stroke at all. They still aren't sure what is going on but he is finally starting to be able to move his left side again. Thank the Lord. He is Brian and I's age with two small babies. Just another reminder for us to put all our faith and trust in the Lord. God is in control and there is a purpose for everything.

Today Leesha had her five year old physical. Yep, two months late but hey, at least it is done. She had two shots today and I am so proud of her!! She was so brave! Not a whimper, cry, pout, nothing! She took those shots like a champ and was thrilled with her pencil and sucker as a prize for being such a brave girl! The Dr. has declared her healthy and way too smart for her own good. LOL!

I chose not to have the MMR done because of what happened last time with it. I just didn't want to end up in the hospital again. Of course, he said that they still aren't sure that is what put her in the hospital but I am her Mom and I know that was the only different shot she received that day. He agreed with me on putting it off though. He told me he would put off until she was twelve years old if I wanted to. I don't think I will put it off that long but I probably will wait until next year to get it done. Yes, I am probably being paranoid. But that is okay, I am the Mom! I reserve the right to have my paranoid moments!

I have made some big decisions in my life lately. No need to go into them but I have felt a big burden lifted off of me in the last week. My life is becoming more simple and I like it!

Anyway, Leesha is doing great with her shots. She only needed a dose of Motrin because her arm was pretty sore and she got just a tad whiney right before bed. No fever, no redness, no huge lumps as of yet! WOOHOO!! Maybe this shot experience will be side effect free! We can only hope!

Well, I am off to bed!

Night!!
