Life has been very difficult lately and I just won't go into it all here! We have put Leesha into school and I am looking for a part time job at the moment. Please pray I find something that works with Leesha's school schedule. This job search stuff is hard. Especially when you have been out of work for 6 years. I do believe that they honestly think you have been sitting at home on the couch for the past six years. That somehow all the professional skills you had six years ago just flew right out of your brain when you gave birth to your child. Why do people think that? Why can't Mom's get experience for cleaning, laundry, cooking, chauffering, nursing, counseling, finances and just general being the CEO of a home? It is amazing, honestly!
Anyway, we had some excitement tonight. There is an apartment here that has been empty for quite a long time. Well, tonight several of our neighbors are all outside talking and notice someone sitting on the floor inside the sliding glass door. Well, as far as we all knew only one family moved into that building this weekend. So between the 3 of us, we all get really suspicious that this apartment had been broken into. So we called "Indy's Finest." They came and investigated and found the bottom empty apartment totally unlocked. They walked right in. We directed them to the upstairs one that we thought had been broken into. Well, come to find out this girl had just moved in yesterday and didn't have any furniture yet. Here's my beef: Three officers responded. WONDERFUL! Well, one of the officers screamed across the parking lot to us. "SHE JUST MOVED IN YESTERDAY!" It wasn't at all what he said it was how he said it. Very rudely and as if we were wasting his time! umm...dude...I am a citizen and pay taxes no need to be rude. Did I get his name and badge number? No, I didn't. Because honestly, I was embarassed for wasting their time. But honestly, we have had so many car break-ins and weird things happening lately that we are all trying to do a better job of watching out for each other. I actually went to the three police officers and apologized for wasting their time and was dismissed rudely by them. I get that they feel they are being shafted by the Mayor and things. I get it. I have friends who are married to police officers. I know their frustrations. But can I just say that maybe the patrol officers need some lessons in how to deal with good citizens instead of just criminals. I am expecting my name to show up on some "haters of the police list" now after posting this. I will let you know if I get a ticket in the next couple of weeks or so. I really don't hate the police. I just think that tonight's issue should have been handled much differently. After all, they didn't seem to be that busy since they stood in the parking lot talking for 15 minutes before they finally moved out. They finally moved on once a neighbor came out and needed to get her car out. Oh well, at least they came in a timely manner. That is a big improvement.
Well, tomorrow starts the second week of school and the first week of homework. AHHHHHH!!!! And I have to do the whole application thing. Leesha is growing so much and when I can get my camera to work with my software I will post a recent picture. Well, that is all for tonight and I am going to try to keep this up again. Later!
